Dr. Kiddy has a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, M.S. and B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering, and a B.S. in Physics. After obtaining his doctorate, Dr. Kiddy worked for a number of years developing and applying novel university research technologies to a wide range of applications including for the military, marine, aerospace, and construction industries. This early experience provided Dr. Kiddy with a diverse background in a myriad of technologies and their application to various industries. Dr. Kiddy then transitioned to leading a team of engineers to develop and manufacture downhole products for the oil and gas industry, including several months of field work deploying and testing new products in some of the harshest conditions in the world. Dr. Kiddy has since transitioned to becoming a full-time forensic engineer and expert witness where he can apply his multidisciplinary skills, knowledge, and experience gained from over 20 years of industry experience to analyze and understand the factors that led to an incident.
Throughout his industry career, Dr. Kiddy was heavily involved in intellectual property issues from concept generation and documentation, patent filing and prosecution, and infringement disputes. Dr. Kiddy holds nine U.S. and four foreign patents.
As a forensic engineer, Dr. Kiddy has investigated hundreds of matters including product and premise liability cases, industrial and construction accidents, fires and explosions, and intellectual property matters. Dr. Kiddy regularly assists both plaintiff and defense parties with extremely competitive rates, timely service, and expert advice.
